Why does Jen create portraits?

Jen enjoys giving back to people who want to honor their special living pets and also aid pet parents in transforming their sadness into a beautiful creation. After Jen past customers received their portraits they have expressed feelings of having a piece of their beloved family member back. I am honored and humbled that I’m entrusted to capture the beauty, goofiness, and happiness from the treasured photo of people’s furry loved ones.

Jen’s story was a dark path lead her way to her beautiful destiny

Drawing became one of Jen’s favorite hobbies growing up and eventually, she decided that she would like to pursue a career that focused on creativity. After graduating from Central Michigan University, she attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and was introduced to many new artistic mediums.  This helped set the stage for ā€œPet Portraits by Jenā€  which started from a tragedy on the worst day of her life and ended with a blessing.  Jen’s dog, Makena, unexpectedly died from cancer and she wanted to do something special to honor her incredible life.
